OK. we got lost. fair enough. took us all of 8minutes to make a 30min miscalculated detour.
Following winds and relativly quiet roads under sunny skies. not too shabby.
Stopped on the warf at Summerside on the way west. sammich time.
looking back.
Looking Ahead. looooong straight trails.
it didn't really look anything like this.
every road intersection on the trail had one of these mofo's.
No matter what, don't plan to stop and have a bite in Portage PEI. the ol bastard inside wasn't friendly.
no helmet? but on the trail there was zero danger...and it was friggin hot.
In O'leary. by all means stop here and eat. nice folks, good eats.

The cottage in Tignish. 66$ a night. sweet digs for a good price. later we enjoyed beer and pasta/pizza/donairs! 179km was our total for day 1. just over 7.5hrs.
Still stinking after a good handwash. oh well
Looking west at north cape.
Windpower at work. pretty cool stuff.
