Ian and I had just raced up the 4.1k climb up to La Mesange. it had taken us round about 45 min to descend a few days before. Ian climbed it in 43minutes at a hr of 149avg (for him quite high) and i took 48minutes (with 2 stops for gear adjustment!) at about 153 avg. ian kicked my ass. :-)
